Best Garden Centre ever.great cafe and staff
Very large nursery with very large variety of plants. I bought a few fruit trees from them. They all bore fruit in the same year I planted them. Really high quality.
Great food in nice surroundings. Good size portions and pleasant staff. Bought a lot of plants as well!
1st visit today and well worth it. Excellent quality plants at very good prices. Coffee shop also does a great sausage roll!
Great choice of good quality plants at good prices and helpful staff
Best place to purchase a Christmas tree locally. Not only cheapest on the A140 between Diss and Norwich but also the best quality. Even carried the tree to our car as part of the customer service. Highly recommend.
A little bit of everything for everybody here good value for money quality of plants that's very good as well lots and lots of pots at half price there's even a little cafe and toilet facilities. You in a wheelchair don't worry access is good for you as well.
A proper independant plantsmans centre excellent easy layout & plants, excellent choice of pots, sculptures & everything you need for the garden, had lunch there which was very good. On a A140 at Tasburgh a must if you love your garden
Great selection of excellent quality plants at reasonable prices. The staff are really friendly. By far, in my opinion, the best garden centre in the area. Will be back very soon.
I haven't stopped in for a while (couple of years) and had heard good things about the new coffee shop.
It's not a coffee shop, it's so much more. It's as good as the four star restaurant I visited recently. Great staff, clean and bright, fresh produce prepared in sight, wonderful food, great flavours. Wow. The gift area is extensive (we got rather distracted) and the plants continue to be the best quality. I'll be back sooner next time (promise)
Excellent food and service. Plant Centre gets better each year. Well worth the visit
My elderly father had a fall last week here and everyone of the staff were concerned about him and helped all they could. He was thankfully not hurt and we have been there again today. I cannot express how good the staff are in both the garden department and the cafe nothing is too much for them. The garden staff know all you would want to know about the plants and how to deal with them.. The cafe staff go above and beyond help all done with happy smiling faces and they will adjust any meals they have to meet with your personal needs. Why cant we find more people in other places like this. I can only say well done to everyone. We will visit many more times. I say as many as possible
Everything about The Foundry is great - The Staff, Garden Centre and definitely the Cafe whose food is always delicious!
We are returning next Monday for the umpteenth time this year, can't keep away!
What a gem this place is very friendly and helpful staff a great garden centre and a great restaurant with great food well worth a visit I will certainly be going back
My wife and I popped into this garden centre to grab a bite of lunch on our way home from a visit to the dentist (for her, not me). The advertisement that caught our eye on the way out was simply for a 'Full English' but we figured they'd probably serve healthier options too. We were right. While my wife had a nice quiche that she said had been made with flaky pastry, I plumped for the full english as I was feeling more than a little peckish and I hadn't had one for a while. Both meals were well cooked with good quality ingredients. The staff are friendly and chatty and the prices are reasonable. The restaurant is very clean and bright with nice atmosphere. After our meal we talk a stroll around the garden centre and were very impressed by the way the plants and flowers are displayed; offering planting suggestions and ideas with some more unusual plants. Considering we only popped in for a snack we left with some nice perennials for our garden as well. We even met the owner and had a nice chat. A charming, friendly and pleasing centre. I recommend a visit.
excellant garden centre can't fault it brilliant helpful friendly staff lovely good sized plants and very reasonably priced
Loved it . Local to my daughters house so handy to pop in when visiting her. Plants are of very good quality. Garden ornaments and gift shop as well as a café. The food was excellent.
Staff in both the shop and café were very polite.
Spent a lovely morning wandering around the nursery with a friend. Staff were very friendly and the cup of tea from the coffee shop was just perfect. So pleased with all my purchases and at such a reasonable price. We Will be back to see you soon. ??
The food always make this a treat for us to visit whether for lunch or afternoon tea and cakes. If you can't see exactly on the menu what you would like, more often than not, Suzanne or Hannah will change some of what's on order to fit your request. Good honest prices, tasty homemade fresh food and excellent staff......a lot more cafes/restaurants could do well to take a leaf out of their book :-)
Lovely pot of tea, three slices of home made cake, delicious. So glad we stopped here on our way from home to Norwich.
This cafe is so bright and clean. The food is freshly made, well presented and appetizing. It is not a cheap place, but if you want quality and good service then this is the place.
You can also sit in the cafe and look out the window and select some plants to buy. I can also recommend the plants as they have been grown with care.
A bright and airy cafe within a first rate garden centre. A great selection of savoury and sweet dishes available all day. Staff always pleasant and accommodating and well worth looking at the plants and gifts.
Lovely selection of plants and helpful staff, I found all the plants I was looking for and a few extra. After buying plants I tried the coffee shop and had a fantastic lunch, will be back in soon.
Dropped in to have a look at their plants....most of which are very competitively priced. The cafe was warm and staff friendly and welcoming. We had good bacon butty, good cakes, nice pot of tea and and pleasant hot chocolate. Good place! My first visit to the plant centre and thought I'd visit the cafe for a quick drink. The staff were so welcoming, I decided to have some lunch too and what a treat! A very tasty stilton and leek risotto served with a delicious side salad. The service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
A warm welcome, and a lovely tasty meal, I would recommended stopping for lunch or breakfast. Treats for the garden and a good selection of plant's.
New to the area and planting a new garden, this place was a great find. Prices are in some cases half of that in other garden centres. Looking forward to going back in spring for more plants. In summary good quality plants, reasonable prices and friendly staff.
Truly scrumptious food prepared by a friendly and professional team.
Wide menu all comprising extremely high quality ingredients. A simple sausage sandwich sings when made on doughy white bread with gorgeous herby sausages and golden yoked fried egg. A perfect and huge omelette cooked to perfection with yumptious taste and texture. Already returned after our first visit a couple of weeks ago and repeat soon to follow. And seating outside for the spring and summer...bring it on! I wish them well as all their efforts really show.
Great plant centre with friendly staff. The coffee shop is a must, we stopped in for morning coffee and just had to return on our way back for a very good breakfast brunch. First rate.
A quick visit to buy some plants and have a cuppa turned into a very enjoyable afternoon. The owner of the Garden Centre is a very helpful and friendly man who we enjoyed a yarn with, revisiting old times and reminiscing a bit. The restaurant is excellent value , with friendly service and good food . I can recommend the breakfast , top value ,good portions and will mean you won't be hungry all day . Give this place a visit if you're passing,it's well worth it.

Great food, great service and all at a reasonable price. Overall this is an awesome garden centre I would recommend to any friends and family
Six of us met at the Foundry today and had a selection of delicious home cooked lunches.Afterwards we bought some very reasonably priced plants. We shall certainly go again.
For lunch today I had the homemade Stilton and broccoli soup - by far the best I've ever tasted (either homemade or from those 'quality' cartons), absolutely delicious. I followed this with a slice of stem ginger cake which regrettably I had agreed to share. Moist, light and mouth watering, won't be sharing again!
As soon as you open the doors to this great cafe the smell of homemade food hits your taste buds and then all you have to decide is what you will have from the extensive options.
Although this is not always easy as Suzanne is so amenable and will offer to adapt her menu to fit your appetite for the day. Thinking that the Scrambled eggs on toast would suffice I was quickly drawn into upgrading these to have them with smoked salmon and mushrooms. Ruby wisely chose the vegetarian breakfast which had the choice of 2 flavours of veggie sausage! Hannah's cakes looked very tempting and we just had to take home a piece of shortcake and a slice of the walnut and banana cake. Superb freshly made food in a very clean environment in a friendly atmosphere...what more could anyone want from a cafe :-D |
